DISCOVERY FLIGHTS
On a discovery flight, a certified flight instructor will take you for an approximately 30 min flight. Typically we fly around the city of Edmonton or Spruce Grove or Stony Plain, checking out familiar landmarks etc., but we are flexible in where we go as long as time permits! While you’re up, you will get the opportunity to try flying the plane with the supervision and assistance of an instructor. You may even bring along up to two friends or family members to enjoy the experience with you as long as the total weight of the three is not over 400 lbs.

Discovery flights are intended for people that are interested in exploring becoming a pilot as a profession and are not intended to be site seeing tours. If you would like to book a discovery flight please register here online. We cannot accept discovery flight registrations over the phone.
Cost: $300 including GST.
Please note that the Edmonton Flying Club is a registered non-profit organization, and the prices and fees listed are purely cost recovery for the services we provide. Our sole aim to is provide affordable flight training services to help our students fulfill their dreams of flight and find meaningful work in the aviation industry.

Registration: Purchases can ONLY be completed online (follow instructions below)
- Select your preferred dates (must be a minimum of one week from the date of registration) and complete the required information after clicking on the NEXT button below.
- Once we receive your registration, our team will reach out to you to confirm dates and times based on aircraft and instructor availability.
Conditions:
By completing your purchase, you acknowledge and agree that:
- Selected preferred dates are not guaranteed and subject to the availability of aircraft and instructors.
- Dates and times may change after the initial booking due to weather or aircraft maintenance.
- Discovery flights are valid for one year from the date of purchase. Unused flights will be voided and cannot be refunded.
- Failure to show up for your booking will result in forfeiture of the full amount.
- Cancellations or rescheduling requests by you must be made at least 48 hours in advance of the booking. After this period, changes are not permitted, and the full amount will be forfeited.
- Any cancellation made by you regardless of the reason will incur a $30 administrative processing fee, which will be deducted from the refund.
